Clause: 6.16.2 LN: Circuit breaker

Paragraph: Table 184

Issue

For a 3-phase circuit breaker, the sum currents of each individual phase are of interest and not the total sum of all phases. To represent this, four logical XCBR nodes are currently required, one for 3-phase control and three to collect the respective sum currents of the phases. This is confusing because in this case a real circuit breaker is represented by four logical nodes.

Proposal

By changing the PressCond of SumSwARs from O / O to OMulti / O, three summation currents can also be mapped for a three-phase circuit breaker.

Discussion Created Status
There are other cases where a CB is modeled indeed with four XCBR - in case of single phase operation (e.g. tripping). So in principle, whenever we have phase specific information, we need four XCBR.

We still can discuss in future and include in modeling examples of 7-500

It is an interesting proposal. But it has no interoperability character. So I suggest it as "future improvement". 12 Sep 22 Approval (Future Improvement)
