273   Why the GI is not in the SCL?

Issue

The Trigger Condition GI (General Interrogation) is a bit of the attribute TrgOp of the BRCB and URCB. Clause 14.2.2.11 (IEC 61850-7-2:2003) specify that this bit of the TrgOp attribute controls the sending of Reports of the type GI.

In the SCL in the "tTrgOps" type this bit doesn't appear (maybe because this type is also used in the Log Control Block where the GI is useless).

Due to the editors decision the gi attribute will be added to trigger options as optional attribute with default value true in case that is is missing. 05 Apr 07 Ballot Period
Editor meeting @ La jolla.
The editors believe that the SCL has to deal with all the trigger options. it includes the TrgOps.GI also.
The TISSUE 275 fixed the initialization of the TrgOps.GI as beeing as local issue. The SCL shall include it. 		08 Feb 07 Discussion (red)
