Clause: Table 11

Paragraph: SMVsc

Issue

There is currently no means to declare a SV publisher and subscriber's service capabilities using IEC 61869 datasets, which allows for various sizes (Variants) of SV datasets. Theses service capabilities depend on the number and type of SV variants.

SMVsc.max and ClientServies.maxSMV do not factor in the number/type of variants which has direct implications on the service capabilities of the SV publisher and subscriber.

Proposal

Propose to have dedicated service capabilities for Protection variants and for PQ variants.

Propose to update the test procedures to detail which SV variants should be conformance tested, and suggest the worst case scenario for protection and PQ be tested.

Propose to have PIXIT updated to reflect the supported SV variants, and which variants are to be validated through conformance testing.

Discussion Created Status
The improvement of SV publishing/subscribing capabilities is required and will be treated in next edition.

Regarding the specific point of supported variants, this is addressed by 61869-9 which extends the LPHD to add the description of the supported variants, and the testing procedure already describes the verification of these variants, especially regarding 9-2LE compatibility
