Issue

For the unit used to compute the coordinates, it's said that it is the size of the smallest object to draw. But we may have different problems with this:
- when you change the size of this smallest object, you have to recompute all coordinates
- when you import an SCL file, how to know the original size? For exemple, you restore a project saved in SCD in a new SCT. You will not be able to draw correctly all objects as you don't know the size of each of them.
- when you import a bay template, the unit may be different from the one you have in the SCT.

Proposal

To have an homogeneous unit understandable by all tools, it will be better to use the pixel

The coordinates are purposely chosen relative to a symbol side, as the symbol e.g. for a circuit breaker may need different numbers of pixels on different HMI devices. Still, nobody forbids to use a pixel as 'smallest object to draw'. To support correct scaling on different devices the chosen smallest object and its size should be documented. If anything beyond is needed, this should be discussed in the context of Edition 3.	09 Jun 15	Discussion (red)
