Clause: 5.14.3

Category: Issue for edition 2 of this part

The SCBR contains the DO OpTmAlm "Switch operating time exceeded". Is this time for opening or closing or both? There exist a measurement of these times but not explicit setting for the limit of the operating time. In minimum, there is a setting DO like OpTmSet needed which allows to define the limit where to detect "exceeded".

We suggest to include two specific alarms: OpTmOpnAlm and OpTmClsAlm (both SPS), and two corresponding settings: OpTmOpnSet and OpTmClsSet (both ASG) for the usage to monitor operating time in copening/closing direction. All DO are optional. For the OpTmAlm needs further discussions. The first proposal OpTmSet will be rejected. 17 Jun 14 Discussion (red)
The DO semantic of OpTmAlm is not clear. Does it belong to the pure operating time of CB for opening/closing. Here we can model OpTmOpn/OpTmCls (MV), and we shoul model the setting as ASG. Or does it correspond to the life time category, we have OpTmh (time since last reset/maintenance)? Then setting shoudl be ING.
Proposal: improve description and decide CDC.
