Paragraph: Figure C.5

Category: Issue for edition 2 of this part

Issue

The description of the S bit in respective after Figure C.5 is completely wrong. The LGOS and LSVS LNs just indicate if simulation messages are currently received and used, nothing more.

Proposal

Eplain this correctly. Especially it should be clear, that the S bit just repeats the value of the Simulation tag of the header, as defined in table 79, to allow an early detection of simulation telegrams irregardless from which device they are sent.

S: simulated. The S bit mirrors the service parameter Simulation of the SendGOOSE service. Its (redundant) presence in the ethernet header has been specified to allow performant filtering on layer 2 level. Using the interface provided by the IEC 61850-7-4 LogicalNode Class LPHD at DO Sim, allows a subscriber to either subscribed not simulated GOOSE telegrams or simulated GOOSE telegrams. The IEC 61850-7-4 LogicalNode Class LGOS when available supervises the Multicast Association at the subscriber. For further information, see LPHD, LGOS Classes in IEC 61850-7-4.
