Clause: D1

Paragraph: Table D.1

Issue

This table defines that the detailed quality "Inaccurate" shall have validity "Questionable". In addition there is a note stating that product standards can be more specific, i.e. can limit the usage more.

In IEC 61869-9:2016 in chapter 5.901 it is stated
"If data output is enabled, all affected data values should
be tagged as ‘invalid’, and detailed quality set to either ‘failure’ or ‘inaccurate’ in accordance
with 6.903.9."

But since "Inaccurate" should not be combined with "Invalid" this is not correct. Even if an example it could lead to mistakes

Proposal

Remove the "Inaccurate" in this sentence in IEC 61869-9.

Discussion Created Status
In IEC 61869-9:2016, clause 5.901, 4th paragraph ("For example..."), the 3rd sentence is corrected to read:
"If data output is enabled, all affected data values should be tagged as ‘invalid’, and detailed quality set to ‘failure’ in accordance with 6.903.9."
This is an obvious editorial correction ("should") to align with the requirements specified in IEC 61869-9:2016, clause 6.903.9 ("The validity attribute shall be set to questionable when the inaccurate attribute is true.") as well as IEC 61850-7-2 Ed2.1, Annex D.1 table D.1.
