Table A.2 Deprecating elements

Issue

Many LNs have been deprecated by this Edition but the standard has no clear recommendations. For example, XFFL (Switching control for field flashing) is described as deprecated in Clause 10.8.2 but nowhere is a new field flashing function described.

Proposal

Provide detailed explanation of why elements have been deprecated and how existing functions should be modeled in new designs.
