Clause: 6.3.2 SCL Location

Paragraph: Also in XSD

Issue

ControllingLNode can currently be located in DOS, SDS or DAS:

"The elements SubscriberLNode and ControllingLNode are children of DOS/SDS/DAS defined in Clause 7." (clause 6.3.2 SCL Location)

« The element ControllingLNode of a DOS/SDS/DAS indicates the potential controlling LNodes for the data. » (see clause 6.3.4 ControllingLNode)

Whereas ControlRef are only on DO level: « The control model is defined at the DO level using its Data Attribute ctlModel; this is why a ControlRef only points to a DO and not a DA. » (see clause 6.2.4 ControlRef)

Proposal

For the consistency, ControllingLNodes shall be child of DOS only (not SDS or DAS).

Update clause 6.3.2 SCL Location and XSD 61850-6-100 consequently

Discussion Created Status
This is true that the ControllongLNode is acting on 1 DO and not on mutliple SDI / DAI of the DO.
It makes sense to limit it to the DOS level.
