Clause: 7.3.6

Paragraph: Table 21

Issue

The data attribute 'originSrc' is used to calculate the origin category of the status information.

In the context of protective tripping a circuit breaker 'originSrc' shall not be used. This statement is missing.

Proposal

The presence of ‘originSrc’ shall be limited to data object instances related to control services.

The usage of ‘originSrc’ in the context of protection shall be forbidden. The origin category of the CB position status information from a trip defaults to "process". It is not intended to use 'originSrc' to configure its attribute 'orIdent' with an identifier to distinguish between different protection elements which can trip the breaker.

Discussion Created Status
Editor Group:
TF 7-500 Command over GOOSE needs to consider the usage of originSrc outside the use case of CSWI to XCBR/XSWI which is the only today fully specified usage of originSrc inside an ACT.
The conclusion of the TF will be reflected in the definition of originSrc.
