Clause: 17.3.3.4.1

Paragraph: Table 77

Issue

In IEC 6185-8-1 Table 77 is the mapping from IEC 61850-7-2. Table 82 of IEC 61850-7-2 clearly states that a LogEntry can consist of multiple EntryData. Thus Table 77 in IEC 61850-8-1 should be updated to allow an array of EntryData.

Proposal

Table 77 in IEC 61850-8-1 should be updated to allow an array of EntryData.

The tissue resolution is emphasing that a Entry can contain an array of EntryData, as it always was written in the text.

A non-conformant implementation of client would have not expected an array of EntryData and would become an array of EntryData. But the array was already mandated in the published version.

So there is no compatibility issue from the standard perspective, this is solely an interoperability issue clarified by this tissue resolution.

Propose to modify table 77 as drafted in the attachement. The Tables matche the Text of clauses 17.3.3.4.3 and 17.43.3.4.4.

Agree. Table 77 today does not restrict Log Entry to a single EntryData, but clarely can be improved to show that each LogEntry can contains several {EntryDAta, DataRef, Value, ReasonCode}.
