The model of SIMG looks like being a mix of two approaches.
Basically, the gas has a temperature, a pressure and a density. The three values are related to each other. As a result of gas density supervision in a GIS, the application is typically interested in the following information:
- Is the gas level such, that a refill of insulation media is needed (InsAlm) -> needs intervention of maintenance personal
- Is the gas level such, that it is not safe anymore to operate (InsBlk) -> the operation of e.g. a circuit breaker needs to be blocked
- Is the gas level such, that the insulation is not guaranteed anymore (InsTr) -> this gas chamber needs to be isolated from any power
In addition. We may also know, if the gas level is filled to its maximum (InsLevMax)
The other data defined are not clear and partly confusing:
- What is the difference between InsLevMin and InsAlm?
- What is the difference between PresAlm, DenAlm andTmpAlm compared to InsAlm?
Proposal
It looks like – in a clarification process, InsAlm, InsBlk and InsTr have been added but the other already existing data have not been cleaned up.
I would suggest, that InsAlm could be renamed to InsLevMin, but the explanation of InsAlm should be maintained instead of the explanation of InsLevMin.
I would further suggest to consider deleting PresAlm, DenAlm, and TmpAlm.
If the deletion of these data is not accepted, we need at least a better explanation of what the activation of one of these data really means and may be some explanation how they relate to the other data.
