884   EnumType with id="sboClass" uses an attribute name in stead of a type name.

Created: 09 Aug 2012

Status: Not Applicable

Part: Part 6 (2009-12; Edition 2)

Links: #883 attribute name used as type name

Page: 118

Clause: Annex B

Paragraph:

Category: No impact on this part

Issue

The type name is defined in IEC 61850-7-3, page 21, 6.13 SboClasses definition.

Manufacteurs can use both names 'sboClass' and 'SboClasses' in SCL files. This can create problems for interoperability.

Tissue #883 describes the same kind of problem but then for the ctlModel/CtlModels names.

What type name should be used?

Proposal

Change the (normative) description in 61850-6 annex B to follow the definiton in 61850-7-3 section 6.13
Change the EnumType id from 'sboClass' into 'SboClasses'.
