This part of IEC 61850 applies to all electronic sensors related to process measurements of the T Logical Node group having a digital Sampled Value output stream such as physical sensors, current and voltage transformers, merging units, or devices acting as T group publishers as well as subscribing intelligent electronic devices, for example protection units, bay controllers and meters.

9-2 Ed2.1 will also contains the phasor stream defined in TR 61850-90-5
