Clause: 22.2 Referencing an instance of a class

Paragraph:

Category: Issue for edition 2 of this part

Issue

In standard it states "CB class name = 4 characters"
Whilst it's 3~5 characters(SGCB, BRCB, URCB, LCB, GoCB, MsvCB, UsvCB).
Which means total length of CB-Prefix and CB-Instance-ID is 27~29 characters instead of 28.

Proposal

CB-Prefix = m; CB class name = 3~5; CB-Instance-ID = 27~29.

Discussion Created Status
remove the recommendation of 7-2 since it is neither normative nor used/follwowed by existing engineering tools, nor testable for conformance.

In principle accepted. The CB class name can have 3 - 5 characters.Dependent on this m+n can in principle range from 27 to 29. To make it simple it could just be maximum 27 - this syntax is anyhow a 'recommendation' in 7-2 and not normative. The absolute maximum length of 32 including any instance number however is normative. 26 May 11 Discussion (red)
