Clause: 5.8.2

Paragraph:

Category: Issue for edition 2 of this part

Issue

Actually some HMIs have some kind of emergency pushbuttons, that interrupt immediatly running control actions, for example a running load tap changer: If the button is pushed, the drive of the load tap changer stops running immediatly. If this information is not transmitted by a separate wire, but over a process bus, there is no data in the standard to model that. A new data, that is transmitted by a GOOSE-message, should be added.
Note that the emergency off cannot be modelled using the "cancel" service, because emergency off may be issued by any client.

Proposal

Add new data:
IHMI.EmgOff [ACT] (emergency interruption of a control action)

Generally accepted. CDC should be SPS as mentioned in the previous comment. It is proposed to use for the emergency interruption the Logical Node ISAF of the IEC 61850-7-410 (former IEC 62344). 23 Mar 07 Discussion (red)
I think SPS should be the correct CDC for that information (I guess there is no phase information needed).

Would it be a local issue, to define what activities shall be interrupted or would it interrup any ongoing control actions?
