Issue

SCL (and possibly the ACSI CreateDataSet service) allow definition of low-level "leaf" nodes of data. Refer to Figure 11 and assume dataset is populated with MMXU1.PhV.phsA.cVal.mag.f and MMXU1.PhV.phsA.q and MMXU1.PhV.phsA.t. There seems to be no way to correlate a dchg of ...cVal.mag.f with ...t. This can cause inter-operability problems.

Proposal

Create a unambiguous mechanism to ensure that changes to leaf attributes are correlated with one another. One suggestion is to treat, for event generation purposes, the above definition as if the FCD MMXU1.PhV.PhsA.cVal[MX] was specified. Other solutions are possible.

Discussion Created Status
This mechanism exists already and is described in 7-2. If you need a correlated set of t, q, value, just use FCD(A) at the higher level above the leaf attributes. 25 Oct 06 Not Applicable
