Issue

An SGCB, if it exists, is located in LLN0. §8.2.5: "If setting group control blocks are present, they shall appear only once in any branch of the logical device management hierarchy."

This statement does not explicitely explain the constraints occuring with more than one parallel SGCB in an hierarchical LD structure.

Proposal

Propose to extend the statement to state that the location of the SGCB in the LD hierarchy defines a border line; no SGCB can exist on a higher level. Parallel SGCB can exist.

The term "parallel SGCB" is not explained in the standards. We used it during the discussion in the WG 10 meeting and I quoted the resolution in this Tissue.

It is worth being more explicit. The new part of the sentence could be modified to

Propose to treat it as editorial, as the current defition does not change, and is currenlty tested in the server type conformance test with test case: sCnf48. No change in testing required.
