Issue

The Edition 2 standard refers to:

IEC 62439-3:2010, Industrial communication networks – High availability automation networks – Part 3: Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) and High availability Seamless Redundancy HSR.

There is a new standard 2012 and the PRP in 2012 is incompatible with 2010.

Proposal

Should update 8-1 to refer to 2012.

Update reference in 8-1 Edition 2.1 to refer to the 2015 version of 62439-3. 16 Oct 15 Ballot Period
62439-3:2015 will allow support for IEC 61850-9-3, i.e. 1588 with redundancy PRP/HSR.
As PTP, or as IEC 61850-9-3 is not defined in 8-1 Ed2, but will first be introduced in 8-1 Ed2.1, the reference to the not published yet 62439-3:2015 is only of relevance with 8-1 Ed2.1 or within IEC 61850-9-3. 		04 May 15 Discussion (red)
In IEC61850-8-1 only PRP1 is referenced, not PRP0 (eg table 4: Link Redundancy = IEC62439-3 – PRP1 or HSR).
