Issue

All T-Nodes beside TCTR and TVTR have a sample rate setting (SmpRte). There is no reason why these two LNs have no SmpRte. The sample rate may be found in the control block also but it is much more convenient for data evaluation of the application function to handle all T-Nodes the same and provide the SmpRte as DO in TVTR and TCTR also.

Proposal

Add the sample rate setting (SmpRte)as DO also to TCTR and TVTR

Discussion Created Status
The difference between SmpRate (as an attribute og control block) and data object Txxx.SmpRte is intended. Example: You can have in the LN a SmpRte of 14400 samples/second but in one of the control blockes you use SmpRate 4400 samples/sec. So one is the sampling of the sensor, the other how it is used by IEC 61850-9-2. 28 Oct 19 In Force (green)
That consistency is understood within IEC 61850-7-4.

But the query is about the DISCREPANCY between:
IEC 61850-7-4 which uses <<SmpRte>> without an "a"
and
IEC 61869-9 (and Guideline IEC 61850-9-2LE) which uses <<SmpRate>> with an "a" - Figure 902, clause 6.903.11 etc

Surely the industry needs consistency between the MUs defined under IEC 61850-9-2 LE, IEC 61869-9 and general IEC 61850-9-2

I want to confirm the abbreviation Rte for rate and rating. It has been used in many DO names of part 7-4 ed.2.1 25 Oct 19 In Force (green)
Is it <<.SmpRte>> (no "a") or <<.SmpRate>> (with "a")

IEC 61869-9 Ed1 defines the sampling rate Data ATTRIBUTE <<.SmpRate>> - it has the "a" in the name

Also to note that the definition of the MSVCB Multicast Sampled Value Control Block in Part 9-2 Ed2 Table 9-2 defines the component name as <<SmpRate>> with the "a"

This tissue will be applicable with revision V2.1. 11 Dec 13 Ballot Period
Additional for the semantic description: the sampling rate setting of the sensor is meant as
o samples per nominal period, if its SIUnits is none or not present
o samples per second, if its SIUnits is Hz
o seconds per sample, if its SIUnits is s.

Add SmpRte (optional) to TCTR and TVTR. But the sampling rate in the control block is just a configuration issue and has no direct relationship to SmpRte in the LN. 11 Nov 13 Ballot Period
