Part: Part 8-1 (2011; Edition 2)

Clause: 16.1

Paragraph:

Category: Issue for edition 2 of this part

Issue

The definition mentions that the way to know the number of SGs is the PIXIT, when it is clearly stated in SCL <SettingControl>.

The definition states that settings shall be stored in non-volatile memory. Of course. But this sentence has nothing to do with the mapping of the SGCB structure in MMS.

The sentence "The initial value of EditSG shall be 0", has to be stated in part 7.2 not in 8.1

Proposal

Remove the two first paragraphs from this clause.

If the information about the initial value of EditSG and the storage of settings, is not already included in part 7-2, a new TISSUE for part 7.2 including this sentences will be needed.

First sentence - agree: We may remove in deed the PIXIT requirement since the setting group control block capabilities are visible in the ICD representation of the device.

Second sentence: The non-volatile property is already defined in 7-2 for the definition of the FC = SP, and SG
The sentenc can be removed from 8-1

Third sentence - agree that the sentence belongs to 7-2. It can be removed from 8-1
